These Terms govern access to and use of the Community Connect Canada website and related information services operated by FN Beheer B.V.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the website located at this domain (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Site. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly request sensitive information from minors and we do not design the Site for children.

2. Who We Are

The platform name presented on the Site is “Community Connect Canada.” The Site is operated by FN Beheer B.V. (“we”, “us”, “our”), registered in the Netherlands.

The service area and editorial focus of the Site are communities across Canada. The Site is an independent platform and is not an official government service.

3. What the Site Provides

The Site provides informational content and community-oriented services, including (depending on availability): educational resources (guides, articles, checklists), event listings and registration forms, community topic pages, and stories submitted or curated for learning and participation. Some functionality may be introduced, changed, or discontinued over time to keep the experience stable and safe.

The Site is not designed for financial services, investment services, trading, or any promises of income. Nothing on the Site should be interpreted as financial advice, investment advice, or an offer of financial products.

4. Important Disclaimers

The materials on the Site are provided for general informational and educational purposes. While we aim for accuracy and timely updates, we cannot guarantee that all content is complete, current, or suitable for every context. Event details may change due to venue constraints, partner availability, weather, or technical limitations.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site lawfully and in a way that supports a safe community environment. In particular, you must not:

  • Share personal data of third parties without a lawful basis and the person’s permission.

We may suspend or restrict access when we reasonably believe there is misuse, a security risk, or a violation of these Terms. We may also take steps that are methodical and unglamorous: rate limiting, blocking IP ranges, and filtering obvious automated submissions.

6. Forms, Communications, and Verification

If you submit a form (for example, event registration or a general inquiry), you authorize us to use the submitted information to respond and to coordinate the requested participation. We may send operational messages related to your request (such as event confirmations, schedule updates, or accessibility coordination).

For privacy or deletion requests, we may ask for minimal verification to confirm that the request is legitimate. We do not ask for government ID as a routine step. Marketing communications, if offered, are opt-in and you can unsubscribe at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, including text, design elements, branding, templates, and code (collectively, the “Content”), are owned by or licensed to FN Beheer B.V. and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the Site will meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FN Beheer B.V. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site will be limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Site in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FN Beheer B.V. from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) any content or information you submit through forms that infringes a third party’s rights or violates law.

12. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, war, labor disputes, pandemics, internet outages, cyberattacks, hosting failures, or disruption of third-party service providers.

13. International Use

The Site is operated from the Netherlands and is intended for audiences and communities across Canada. We make no representation that the Site is appropriate or legally available in every jurisdiction. You are responsible for compliance with local laws where you access the Site.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Site will be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you reside. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights where applicable.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time if we reasonably believe there has been a violation of these Terms, a security incident, or an operational need to protect the platform and other users. The following sections survive termination: Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective fourteen (14) days after posting on this page, unless a change is required by law or is needed for security or operational stability, in which case it may take effect sooner. The “Last Updated” date indicates when this page was last revised.
